Director

Eileen Brogan the School Director, has been involved in music education for over 28 years, originally working as a private teacher. A music examiner at the Royal Irish Academy of Music for many years, she held the post of Senior Music Examiner there from 2004-2006. She currently lectures in music at St. Patrick's College, Drumcondra, Dublin since 2002.. She completed a Masters Degree in music at Dublin City University in 2005, obtaining a first class honours degree.

Karen Hickey
Klara Janu was born in The Czech Republic in the South Moravia region of Dolni Bojanovice. She received her first musical tuition at the Suzuki Music School where she enjoyed her first competitive success at The Concerto Bohemia in 1998 where she won 1st Prize. She went on to study the violin at The Conservatoire in Kromeriz under the watchful eye of Mr J.Branky. While there she performed with the Chamber Orchestra and enjoyed great success abroad, competing in Neerpelt, Belgium in 2003 where they won 1st Prize. Klara has performed extensively throughout Europe including Austria, Switzerland and Italy and toured with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra.She has lived in Ireland and has been teaching with CSM since 2005. She is in regular demand as a musician working as a soloist and with other professional artists including The Three Tenors. Klara is a member of the Country & Blues Ensemble with whom she performs regularly.
Antonio was born in Mexico and has been living in Ireland since August 2007. His background is in classical violin performance, but parallel to that Antonion have worked in the area of music and violin teaching for the last few years. Antonio has been a member of various symphony and chamber orchestras and chamber ensembles in Mexico, studied at the Universidad Veracruzana Music Conservatory, and completed the BA in Music with Honours at the University of the Americas, in Mexico. Since his arrival in Ireland Antonio has been actively involved playing Irish Traditional Music. In May 2008 he completed the MA in Community Music at the University of Limerick.

Muireann teaches flute and piano at Castleknock School of Music. Muireann is in her final year of the B.Mus.Ed. course in Trinity and the DIT Conservatory and is also studying for a flute and a piano diploma at the moment.
Antello Dorazio
Ian Plunkett has been teaching guitar in the school for the past four years. Ian is the lead singer and guitar player in 'Lynchburg Mob' an alternative rock band based in Dublin. They write, record and produce their own material, playing all over Ireland. They have released two CD's to date. Ian graduated from DCU with a degree in International Relations in 2010.

Rachel holds a BMus from NUI Maynooth (2008) and a Masters in Performance and Musicology (2010). After completing her BMus degree, specialising in Vocal Performance, Rachel continued her education by completing a Masters in Vocal Performance and Musicolgy. As well as enjoying teaching singing in CSM Rachel is also an active soloist and performs regularly around the country. Her website is www.sopranosounds.com
(BA Music and Piano Teacher, University Collage of Nyíregyháza, Hungary) Krisztina’s interest in music extends back to her early childhood. Krisztina began her music studies at the age of four through the Kodály method in singing, musicianship and later piano. She attended a secondary school in Hungary that specialised in music and drama. Krisztina’s third level studies in music were at the University Collage of Nyíregyháza in Hungary where she received a BA degree in music and piano pedagogy. Krisztina has been teaching music and piano since 2000 and has been teaching pre-instrumental classes and piano in Dublin since 2008.Throughout her career, Krisztina has been a member of numerous choirs and theatrical groups and is currently a member of the (Dublin based) Hungarian Chamber Choir.
Elina Hakanen started her violin studies in the music school of Huittinen, Finland in the age of 6 with violin professor Andres Laan where she played her first performance as a solo player with orchestra in the age of 14. She then entered Turku Conservatory in the age of 16 to study with violin professor Alexander Vinnitski.At the years 2007-2008 Elina Studied in NUI Maynooth.At the moment Elina is at the final year of her BMus Honours(Performance)-studies in the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama with violin professor David O'Doherty. Elina has been leading the DIT Symphony orchestra for a year now and she plays occasionally with the RTE Concert Orchestra. Elina has won several competitions, for example the DIT Briscoe Cup and the DIT Bach Prize and the Concerto Prize this year, and Elina will be performing the Mendelssohn concerto with the DIT Symphony orchestra in the National Concert Hall, April 2011. She has also taken part to several masterclasses including Alexander Vinnitski, Pavel Vernikov, David Kim, Simon Fischer, Jaakko Kuusisto, Leonid Mordkovich and Greg Ellis.
Bryan has been playing both electric and acoustic guitar for over 12 years. He is a graduate of the Ballyfermot School of Music and has a national diploma in popular music. He has performed in numerous bands and musical projects over the years.He has been with the school two years and has also developed an original syllabus that the school uses for teaching electric and acoustic guitar.
